Stage 1 -
Prefiltration
The purifying process begins with a
sediment reduction cartridge that traps dirt, lime rust, mud, hairs and other
particles that can affect taste and appearance of water. This stage also protects
the RO membrane from fouling and abrasion.
|
Stage 2 – Pre-carbon Filtration
The carbon cartridge is designed to
eliminate bad taste and odours as well as removing chlorine and chemicals (see
chart below)
|
Stage 3 – Reverse Osmosis Membrane Process
Water is forced through a
very fine semi-permeable membrane which filters water to the highest quality
(molecular level). 99% of all total dissolved solids are then eliminated,
leaving the purest water behind
|
Stage 4 –Activated Carbon Filtration
This is the final stage of the Reverse Osmosis
System, whereby a final polish is performed via a second carbon filter
cartridge
